GRD MUSIC offers personalized piano and bassoon lessons taught by Gwyn Downey, an experienced educator and performer with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals and ability level, with an emphasis on building strong musicianship, technique, music theory, and confidence.

Piano Lessons

• Private one-on-one lessons for students ages 7 and older

• 45–60 minute weekly lessons

• Individualized curriculum using established piano methods

• Music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and technique

• Annual recital opportunities

• Participation in the Illinois State Music Teachers Association Achievement in Music (AiM) Program available

Bassoon Lessons

• Instruction for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students

• Weekly 45–60 minute private lessons

• Curriculum based on The New Weissenborn Method for Bassoon

• Reed-making instruction available

• Preparation for youth orchestras, ILMEA auditions, competitions, and college study
